The Silver Bullet
Well I went ahead and did it.....I bought a 2014 F150 XLT 4x4 with the 5.0L V8.
All I can say is that I am impressed. The amount of sophistication that has appeared in the recent years has really impressed me. The last F150 that I owned was a 2005 XL and is was a great truck, but boy these trucks have come a long way.
Hopefully this truck will provide me with many years of service just like my 2005 F150 and 2012 F250 have done.
And since I know everyone likes pics...here you go. (Pardon the dirt...just got off the road from a 500 mile test drive/trip).

Thanks for the comments gents.
Not too many plans for this truck. Going to keep it fairly simple. Looking at doing an autospring level (although will require some research as 2014 seems to be a year not covered to much in the aftermarket for leveling kits.... and I heard that they are a royal pita) and might play with the exhaust as well.
Any other ideas how to spend my money?

Haha yup! I used to drive a lot as a sales representative for an oil and gas service company. I averaged 9,000 to 10,000 miles a month. Overall the truck performed flawlessly. I had no major repairs other than an alternator failure (while under warranty). I suspect the failure was due to the harsh conditions that I operated my truck in as well as the heavy electrical load placed on the system (electric lift gate, 2000w inverter, off road lighting etc.) Other than oil changes every two weeks, and a set of tires every couple of months, she performed extremely well.
