92 f150 e40d trans

92 f150 4x4 5.8 with e40d trans trans acts after 40 mile/ hour engine revs up kick overdrive off and it work for little bit then overdrive kicks back on by it self and same thind againe code 636 trans temp to low or to high any help out there truck has 109,000 miles on it

Is that the only code you are getting? All codes impact trans operation with these trucks.

do you have a trans temp gauge? is the fluid burning up? hows it look? pull the rear trans line,start the truck for 2-3 seconds.did the fluid pump right out of the line with authority? you can test/have tested your solenoid pack (tot sensor specifically) too.

changeged filter fluid was good not junk in it even on magnet

The TOT sensor is on the solenoid pack inside the transmission.

Did it do this before you did this?
Is it a 4X4?
If so maybe someone put a two wheel filter in it and so did you.
