Ridiculous power steering line price

One cold morning (-45c) I needed to go get rent. Got to the bank and didn't like the smell, or the blood red stain pouring down the bumper. Ended up blowing multiple cracks in my pressure line that goes from the steering gear or knuckle or whatever the column goes into, and then runs to the cooler. I cannot track this part down anywhere but my local ford for friggin 360$ which blows my mind. I may have blown my appendix, my power steering line and am out of work but there's no way I'm getting bent over by that price. Anyone know where I can get one of those? Rockauto is my usual pick but they carry all the lines but the one I need

Just out of curiosity do you have any local hydraulic shops nearby? If so could they make it?

If you have a hoseman or other similar outlet around you just take the old part to them. They can also reuse the hard parts if necesary.

I don't have any big name hydraulic shops around, just a few big rig shops but I could maybe pass it by them. Real odd that I can only find this particular hose at ford. I was expecting to pay 100$ which is probably reasonable but not 360$. Hoping someone will chime in with some aftermarket sites or low mileage used parts

I think it's number 7.... $235 + shipping. Price is due to being a tube/hose combination.

Black bear ford or flea bay. I have resorted to this many times now especially if a FoMoCo numbered part in a bag. I am in Canada and the local parts are not cheap either. I agree with taking to a hose shop and reuse the hard parts, that may also work if you take it in and see what they can do. I am in an industrial town and quite often they are far more reasonable and quick?

He can get parts like this and save you a bunch.
He saved me a lot with the transmission replacement.

Try this, I wouldn't think there is much difference between a F450 and an F350.

I believe it is #7 on that white bear site. The eBay listing isn't the correct part though. I do have the hose off already so maybe I can upload a picture of it. It has hose coming off the cooler, switches to steel line weaving through the radiator mount and then back to hose on a swivel crimp fitting and then to steel like just before the steering gear. My truck is an 05' so I went to that year instead of 04' on that site and the 7 hose only lists for 85$ and not 235$ which is weird. Just have to triple check that's my hose and order it

Yes I think that's my hose. Their website doesn't give much information though. That is the hose that goes from the steering gear to the cooler right? On their site it's 50% off right now with the regular price being 180$

I believe it is, just to be sure enter your vin number so you know you're getting the correct part.

VIN# says i'm right, still crazy this part online at whitebear is 85$ and my local one is 360$ after tax. Skeptical still, but its the only hose that matches, picture matches. But the picture also shows both hoses running from the cooler, the one the goes from gear to cooler, and also cooler to return tank.
