2006 Escape xlt AWD transmission help please

Drove the wifes car last tnight and found that it has a 2-3 upshift flare/slip.

Of course this happened about 10k after having a trans service done at our local dealer.

Can anyone tell me what the model of trans is in this vehicle?

Is this a knonwn issue? Are there any specifics to check or possibly a component that needs replaced besideds the whole trans? Thanks

Jason

Could be any number of things including a leaking seal, a worn valve body, a cracked piston, etc.

Thanks for the help.

We have a couple Ford stores in our dealer network (I'm a tech at a pretty good sized company). I spoke with the service manager and he wants to charge me diag to see if theres something they can fix/repair.

I'm not going that route. I plan on getting a reman trans that should have any updates done. I don't trust putting in one or two components in a trans that has already started showing signs of fatigue
