Decided I don't want to wait any more for door windows. I have the glass, and window regulator out.... not too tough.

Have followed all the shop manual instructions, but the division bar just doesn't seem to come out of the access opening the way described. I know I could bend it and get it out.... but what's the point... I'll need to get another one in.

1955 F100 - Any secrets to getting the division bar in/out?

 

I replaced mine about 6 months ago, and it reminded me of one of those little puzzle games like they sell at Cracker Barrel. IF I remember correctly, you need to get it down near the bottom of the door and kick the bottom of it up toward the top back of the door (where the outside handle is located), and the top of the bar will have enough room to come out the lower front corner of the access hole. Bottom line--it CAN be done. It took me probably an hour (including walking back into the house in frustration at least once) before I got mine angled correctly to be removed.
