Still working on my resto-mod, also. I built a 408W Stroker motor for it that should do about 480 hp, and around 500 ft-lbs of torque. I'm going with a Tremec TKO600 trans, added an Eaton Posi and kept the 3.55 rear end. It's lowered about 4 inches in the back with a 4-bar coilover rear suspension, and the frame was boxed. The front is lowered 3 inches with DJM Dream Beams. I've got my P275/60R15's for the rear and P235/70R15 for the front, Goodyear Radial T/A's. You can check out my build thread and see what all we've done to El Guapo.
Should have the shell of my new car barn done in 6 weeks or so, so I'll be able to get some better pictures and have more room to work on it. I've been working on it for almost 5 years, so it's time to get it done.

Thanks for that Paul. You've got a nice looking ride, there. Yes, I'm building a hot rod, but it's not a contest. Hot rods are just fun to drive, and burn up some tires. No rules on power levels, tire sizes. If it's modified so that it can push you into the seat and is fun to drive, it's a hot rod.

My kids and wife say my rig is a "hot rod" although someone corrected me the other day that my transmission (NP435 ) disqualifies me from the Hot Rod ranks.
383 stroker with 425hp:
She is tucked away for the MN winter - I am counting down the days until the roads are salt free.

Not sure if my '84 F-250 4x4 qualifies as a hot rod, but its my toy and I'm very particular about when and where I drive it. Originally a 351W with a C6, it now has a 460 and a ZF 5 speed. Numerous engine mods including flat top pistons, mildly ported heads, Crane cam and Edelbrock intake being fed by a Holley and lit by a full MSD ignition running a 6AL box. She's currently in hibernation until winter ends and the roads are no longer salty.
Black is absolutely impossible to keep clean. As soon as I'm finished washing and waxing it, its dirty again.
I've since changed the insert in the shifter **** to match the 5 speed, but the shifter itself is a custom piece I made to match the original bends and contour of the T19 four speed I previously ran.
