How much weight can the sterling 10.5 hold? I'm not interested in the truck rating, tire or wheel ratings. I want to know the rated capacity of the axle itself.

I thought I had read somewhere that it was close to 10,000lbs, but that seems kinda high.

 

Every piece of literature I've ever seen is between 6,830 up until 2005 and 7,280 to present.

Ok, that sounds more accurate. So I guess I do kinda have to watch how much weight I pile in the bed. Tires and wheels on my truck are good to 7,600lbs. And with airbags I can go up pretty far up there.
