Looking for a 23 gallon RH outboard of frame saddle tank?

In looking for info on Ford saddle tanks for my daughters 2000 F-350 over at another forum, I came across this reference in a 2006 post which said:
"The 2000 specifications gave you the 29 gallon tank on the short bed, and 38 gallon on the long bed. There were also a 40 gallon tank option if you ordered the chassis cab only, a 19 gallon midship tank, and a 23 gallon RH outboard of frame saddle tank."

She would like to put an additional tank underneath but the cost many aftermarket are prohibitive.

Anyone ever see a truck with a 23 gallon RH outboard of frame saddle tank? Even a picture would be nice so I know what I am looking for at the junk yard, or should I say, the auto recycling center.

Oh, I did post this over at the other forum so my apologies to those who read both.

Thanks

this would be a nice upgrade...would love something with a drain valve....would store extra gas (power and emergency equipment fuel) in the truck instead of 5 gallon cans.

Chassis cab models have a different frame, so it's not likely to be a bolt up. That's also not a very good/safe place to mount a fuel tank...you'd be a lot better off putting a tank where the spare tire goes.

Thanks for the info.
Outside the frame offers little protection from collision but I was going to use it for Waste Vegetable Oil so there is little chance of explosion, but it could leak and catch fire.
Those spare tire tanks are nice, and expensive. Then what do I do with the spare?

Get a AAA card. I haven't used a spare tire in at least a decade.

Seems like I remember reading something about installing an Excursion tank in a truck where the spare tire goes, probably a lot cheaper.

I looked at a couple of Excursion tank installs. While the tank could be picked up in the junk yard, the install process is a bit more than I care to do in the middle of winter. Maybe next summer...

Depends on where you roll, where I go camping hunting out here in OR, some places (unofficially) require 2 spares due to thier roughness. Even driving out in the country can get you outside of reasonable tow service times so its all about what you want to wait for. just my 2 Cents.

Otherwise AAA is great, especially if you need a tow.... with a trailer....

I'd be easier/cheaper to get a transfer tank for the bed. Then you can fill yourself up or others. They even make 'em with a tool box built in.
