Differences

Between a LB DRW and a SB (both cc) is there a difference in fuel tank size, mount location?

I know this goes for SRW trucks, and i don't see this as any different on DRW's. The LB fuel tank is 38 gallons, (ive gotten 44 in before), and the SB tank is 29 gallons. They are mounted "midship" on the left frame rail in front of the axle. They also make an "aft-axle" tank that is 40 gallons, most trucks don't have them. 450's and 550's have them standard however.

Get a SB truck with a V-10, and you won't PASS any gas stations LOL!

Is that 40 gallon tank only for LB's?

This may not be an issue for you, but with the LB you can get a larger toolbox as the space between wheel well and front of bed is bigger.

I had a LB last truck and a SB this one. The LB is more stable towing heavy and and rides a lot smoother.

Sorry if I got off subject. I miss the extra fuel capacity too.
If I did it over again I'd go for the LB.

I like my LB and soon to be running Veggie, so my diesel fill ups will be even longer.
