Transmission help '95 Explorer
So I'm more or less at my wit's end. I bought a '95 Ford explorer a while ago and put a lot of time and a decent amount of money into getting it into good shape. A few weeks ago, the transmission stopped working. I was coming off the highway and stopped at a light and then there was no power when I stepped on the gas. I was able to limp it to a parking lot and got it towed home. There was no noise when the trans. stopped working or anything else noticeable to indicate any sort of major failure other than no power when I hit the gas. Now I've done some research and I thought it was a valve body gasket. So I've replaced all of the gaskets associated with it (there were some minor blowouts in the gaskets) and re-assembled the entire thing and filled it up with the proper fluid. Still no power. Can anyone help me diagnose the problem or fix the problem? I really love this SUV and I'd like to keep it. I even made a hood ornament for it that people LOVE!
Thank you,

When I stopped, drive had no power, it just revved. I put it into 1st gear and I got some power, just enough to move it. After a few seconds, it started revving as well. It got me to a parking lot maybe 50 ft. away. Now it just revves.
