Phil, how was the hpop to get out once you discovered the leak? I got the intake all off today but ran out of time so will hit it again in the morning. Seems like a previous owner had a minor oil leak and I pulled a couple handfuls of gravel, I'm guessing that oil absorbing stuff, out of the valley and went thru 5 old shirts cleaning the gunk and crap out, it was pretty ugly. I'm going to line it all with papertowels, install the intake Y (not sure the proper name for that) and run it tomorrow, the oil was pissing out when running so I think I'll find it quickly. After that I will have to go to the 99.5 for salvage parts as a temporary fix. I am on an island so getting parts can take weeks. Asked around for Simple Green yesterday Phil but never seen it here. I managed with rags full of dish liquid and water then rinse with bottles. I have a couple of pics, will try to post them up later after I get cleaned up.
Thanks for all the input fellas.

It isn't too bad. I removed the fuel bowl, don't know if you have to but it made it easier to get to. You need a 1 1/8 deep socket to remove the IPR from the hpop. It depends on the mileage but in my opinion it's all gonna start leaking up top. I would order the parts as soon as you can and do it all while you're in there. You have to remove the IPR to remove the hpop, the IPR has orings, not sure about reusing them. If/when you blow a hpop line you will lose most of your oil in that one quick event. Like I said before, the non servicable plug was loose on mine, and so were the other plugs that have orings soo...My truck has 225xxx on the clock.

Cool, I've been struggling with this all day again now. I managed to figure out the only major leak up top was definitely from the front, the pump end and not the back near the turbo. Still, I am on an island and any parts are 3-4 weeks away with this my only truck right now. I pulled the hpop of my older truck and figured out how to do it but didn't have a deep enough 1-1/8 and still managed to get it out. So why does the IPR have to come out? I thought I had it out complete but now you have me worried. I'm really struggling with the line on the little front plate where you get in for the main hpop bolt so cannot get the bad one out right now..... taking a break before I smash something I plan on ordering two complete rebuild kits and a bunch of other stuff from Guzzle on Monday.

Cool, I thought the IPR had to be removed in order to pull the hpop. It's probably the non serviceable plug leaking, on my friends truck the fittings for the lines to hpop were leaking, more so under load. You could see it drip but if you had someone sorta power brake it to load it, it would pour out.

I gave up today, couldn't get the line loose off the front cover with the 18mm bolt inside..... was getting way frustrating. Mine leaked bad enough with the paper towels I saw a good 2-3 drips per second with the truck at idle. It could have had a slow leak for some time since the last AH (prev. owner) threw all that absorbent gravel in there... prolly knew about a problem. We'll git her done tomorrow, one way or another.

G'morning Paul, not too late and thank you. This is the vid I found yesterday that helped me to get the pump off my parts truck. I was still struggling, however, with removing the 5/8" nut on the pipe attached to the front plate where the drive gear is accessed. I'm hoping an overnight soak in WD will have helped. Other than that, he doesn't mention is what to use on that front plate when you replace it. I am assuming that is low pressure area and we just use RTV, right?

I have had mine off twice and re-installed w/o leaks, so a good sealant/RTV will work well.
