I just checked Motorcrafts website for the calibration code interchange. It appears Ford doesn't want us looking up anymore old data as its no longer available before 1994-96.

Hopefully Subford can help us out or NumberDummy. I looked for the suffix XXXX-CA, and could not find it, but several others that may be close.

Is it 2wd or 4wd?

I just typed in 1992, instead of 1991, and found F2TF-12A650-CA. It's showing for an automatic. It doesn't say whether E4OD, but I think that is what it is as there weren't any 5.8's with an AOD.

I put in 1992 on the Advanced Auto website and found this. It's for E4OD but the suffix is CB. I don't know what the suffix means.

I also found this one at Oreilly's and it's a exact match on the number but does not say E4OD.

The suffix tells you what it fits. The prefix tells you what year truck.
The same suffix from the another year can be completely application.

Calibration number 1-64E-R10 = F2TF-12A650-CB on a 1992 F250 truck.

I do not know how the can say one computer fits all 1991 trucks. I think you have a 1992 truck anyway.
You have both standard and auto in either year and they take different computers.

I installed the new CM form Oreilly's (exact part# match) and WALAA! It Works!!!! the OD light never came on and the trans shifts ever gear. BUT, it shift hard. At least now the check engine light came on so I have a code to follow. I'll run the code and get back to ya. thanks. I suspect a TPS, MPLS or VSS.

Update! I checked the codes and it give a 654 faulty selector switch (MLPS). I installed a new one and it shifts great. Nice and smooth and when you apply the throttle it's a nice firm shift. Thanks for all the advice guy's.

'OFF' OD. button on shifter stays on/no start

I think you have more than one problem here. The OD light staying on is probably a wire shorted out in the shifter or column somewhere. Ford programming is to flash the OD light when there is a transmission issue, not keep it on continuously.

The shifting problems you have are probably another thing entirely. Check for codes and report back!
I have a 1992 Ford f150 with a 1994 5.8l 351 Windsor put in place of the 5.0l that was in it and the 'off' OD. Light stays on on the automatic transmission shifter lever. Their is a 'no start' condition. I can't hear the 'wine' of the fuel pump either. I switched out EEC relay but no change. I unhooked battery also, no change. Any thoughts to what I check next? Thanks!!!
