Explorer Pricing

What are you guys paying for your Explorers? Base, XLT, Limited, Sport
I'm looking to buy, and am wondering what you are able to get off the sticker or invoice price.

You might kick around the truecar.com site. I got my XLT around that "True Car Estimate" which is around 10% off MSRP. Add sales tax. Watch out for dealer add-ons. Happy shopping!

Only hick up in my plan is I have to trade in my Roush 427R. The dealer doesn't want to really give me anything for it.

Small market, 'specialty' cars like that will not bring much unless you find that one or two buyers that want that toy

Good luck, maybe try carmax, or one of the other buying services...
They actually offered me the most for my Jeep 5.9 limited Grand Cherokee when I moved on...

Trading in only gets you a wholesale value, if that. Selling it yourself gets you retail value.

I was out today and drove all the Explorers. Sport,Limited,XLT all 2015. After some dealing on the 15 Sport, I couldn't get the dealer off the 52,000 MSRP.
I tried to get him down 10k before I'd finance the deal. No dice.
I ended up doing a deal on a Limited, it had all the options but the turbo engine. Sticker on that was 45ish and 2k incentive plus X Plan, I ended up at 40.
Is that comparable to what some of you guys came up with? Is there a better deal out there on a 2015 Limited?

With all due respect the engine is only ONE of the things different between the sport and the limited...

And they came down a good ways when we bought our sport in 2013...

The one I drove Saturday had everything on it.
Preminum wheels, power lift gate, moon roof sun roof, My Ford Touch, Rear bucket seats, heated and cooled Leather seats, seating memory, Heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, Keyless entry, Keyless ignition, perimeter alarm,
From what I see it was the Eco Boost Engine and the selectable suspension that was different. OH and the smooth center stack, power 3rd row seat.
Am i missing something?

many things... will let you go look at the ford website to compare...

here's a start -
Detailed Comparison - 2015 Explorer

but none of the comparisons, compare 'attitude' and looks and performance is night and day difference !

iirc, we got ours for between 7 and 10k off list ...

send emails to other dealers that may be able to help and they can find one for you...
some dealers may not have the allotment for more, so they hold onto it to bait and switch buyers !

(fyi, some dealers think the raptors should be held onto also !!!)
