1985 ford bronco with new carburetor stalls out
I have an 85 with a new fuel pump, refurbished carb, and a lot of other repairs. Recently, she's been stalling out after red lights or stop signs. Most recently stalled out four times in one trip. Also has stalled out two times while make sharp left turns. Doesn't happen when I turn right, though.
I live in a big city and do not drive long distances, but I do let the engine warm up for five minutes before putting her into drive.
I've had the truck for almost two years and this is a new problem.
Any ideas?

The base gasket on the fuel pump? Bc that was replaced over as year ago. Could it be something from the new carb, which is just a few months old?

ok so here's an update:
my mechanic says the gasket cap was on correctly and all that he did was adjust the carb.
he says when i turn, i put a lot of pressure on the valves, which can cause the truck to stall and i just have to goose it along by tapping on the accelerator when i feel it stalling. this doesn't exactly make me feel safe while i'm driving my truck, though. and i hoped the new carb would solve this problem.
he says it's still stalling out a little as he drives it, even though it's been adjusted several times, because it is so very cold outside.
i told a friend who knows a thing or two about trucks this news, and he says it's bull**** and my mechanic is just guessing/suggesting repairs waiting to see if something sticks.
thoughts? i really like my mechanic - he's been trustworthy and ethical on several occasions.

my mechanic adjusted the carb, though, and the problem has been, for the most part, resolved. HOWEVER, it is VERY cold this winter, and I've read that the holley carburetor that I have has been known to stick in cold weather.
Are there any kits or solutions that can fix this problem so I can drive the truck in the winter?

yup, i'll call around and maybe just take it to a Ford dealership. Might pay a little more, but I'd love to have someone who has a history of experience with old Broncos.
