Now I know how my parents felt OT

If you have read my "24 years ago thread" you will know why.....https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...o-tonight.html

Yesterday, My oldest Daughter received an acceptance letter with a scholarshp offer to the University of Wyoming. A very nice offer I must say.
This past summer we did a road trip to Yellowstone, and made sure to stop at a few Universities. I hate to see her leave, but thats what i did. I guess I will just have to do more west road trips.

Congrats to the newest Cowboy. Letting go is among the most important, and wrenching, parental duties.

Congrats to your daughter!

I spent a few years in Laramie one winter. Way back in the early 80's I was in Laramie taking classes at Wyoming Technical Institute.

You folks are soo lucky. When my boys
go off to school as I know one will, The
other prolly military. Either or, there is no
way I can drive to see them as you all can.
Just to get south from here is almost a
Grand with or with out a passport. And several
days travel and maybe a week if they are way
inland or the east shore. So when we say good by
it really will be. Even if they go to school up here
it will still cost as much or close. Ya I could fly
but Just check on a flight on Alaska Air. They have
no competition here in South East so charge top
dollar. And we are at our bottom dollar the end of
every month. Ya I could move close to them but
I may just be to old by then to be able to do that.
So yes I see you all as lucky in this regard. I have
at most 3 years before the oldest goes. Guess I had
better think on this instead of a Monkey Face for now.
Thanks for the heads up and Merry Christmas to all.
