Rear Differential

I thought I would share this. I have a coworker that is stranded in Dallas pulling a 5th wheel. He was pulling an on ramp when she snapped.

I can't see good enough if the pinion shaft sheared or the pinion cover came unbolted or both.

I have only done that jumping trucks that were not ment to jump. I don't think I have ever seen a superduty toss a pinion like that.

For whatever reason it was in a nine yard bind when it let go.

Ripped the pinion in 2, theres not a lot of oil on the ground. Thats the scary part.

Me either. The Sterling is pretty dang stout for what it is.
