I'm in search of a pair of side hood emblems for my 1954 Ford F500. They look like this, only are for a Ford F500, rather than Ford F100

I purchased a couple parts trucks recently and this 53 hood is on the back of one of the trucks, I assumed the hood is part of the package but I have not picked this truck up yet. I'll double check and hopefully weather permitting be picking up in early Jan?
if you haven't found anything as of then, this would be available.

Is the boomerang portion of the emblem separate from the "F-500" ? I never really noticed or paid attention if they were one piece or two?

I'll show my grandpa. thanks! I was looking at our owner's manual and some advertisement leaflets for our 54 F500, and it appears that the "boomerang" was not OEM on ours. only the Ford F500, and there's no other holes in the hood for any other emblems or trim. thanks so much for the help!

 

The boomerang was indicative of the custom cab option. I believe they are separate from the rest of the trim. If you don't have the extra holes, I'd recommend not drilling them..

 

:-) I don't plan on drilling any holes.. that's why i'm searching for the OEM since aftermarkets don't manufacture what i'd like. The truck works great, hauls our 1200 gal water tank just fine without emblems!

 

Yes, the boomerang trim is separate. It came with the Deluxe Cab package.

That hood is in great shape! Get it if you can.

Be careful removing the emblems, that white metal is fragile and the pins break fairly easy when on as long as they have been. I'd love to have that hood, it looks in great shape.

 

I bought one on eBay, but if anyone else has any others i'd be happy to get them!

Good buy on the F-500 emblem. Did you get two of them? Did you get the dot that goes between the F and the 500? If not Mid-fifty sells them separately.
