I would like to see the edelbrock intake dynoed again, but with the center divider removed. Maybe a few different pulls, with increasing amounts of divider removed. That would be cool. I can supply the manifold.

I have run a streetmaster 0n my truck since soon after purchase in '78. Originally a 351m with headers, manual trans, 3.5 gear. I tried the recommended 600 holley (which I could never get right). a motorcraft 4bbl, and a quadrajet. Added a 220-220 cam with Rhodes lifters. Then switched to a 400 + .040, decked block, milled heads, 4v valves & ran several different cams from a mild 218-218%to a 224-224% roller. The streetmaster provided good torque with all combinations, but seems to give out of breath above 5200 rpm. {have had a c6 since the 400). It sure looks like it would flow better than a performer, tho not enough to feed the roller mtr.

think I would like to try the 8010 with the roller mtr., but the streetmaster is fine on milder mtr. that won't be run over 5200.

Maybe the head ports and/or cam are running out of breath... or even the aircleaner... many run that size cam in 302" engine's... carb. should be 650-750 CFM... also need headers and true dual 3" exhaust system/mufflers...
