Ford Sync Playlist issue - 2014 expedition limited
This is likely a more general issue than Expedition, but there isn't a general forum as far as I can see.
Anyway, I keep having a problem with playlists with Ford Sync (not MFT).
I have a 64GB USB stick formatted as FAT32. On it in the root of the drive are the playlists in non entended m3u format, and all the music in their folders. I've also tried having all the music in a subfolder of \music\ to keep the root cleaner, but that didn't matter.
Anyway, in total, there is about 32GB of music on the stick. About 6200 songs. After I sync it with my music manager (Media Monkey) and insert it in the truck, it properly indexes and everything works fine. Playlists work great.
Then, with an inconsistent time interval between failures, all of a sudden, I'm told I have an "Invalid playlist format" or something like that. I can't use the playlists anymore. I can search the library by genre, artist, albums, etc, all of that works fine, just no playlists. It never works again until I remove the USB stick, make some type of change in Media Monkey (so it will sync a change), and then reinsert into the truck.
Any ideas? Very annoying. And I can't imagine we'll be seeing too many updates to the old style Ford Sync anymore.
Thanks

I guess I hit the right search terms today, as I found this...interesting, and obviously something Ford and Microsoft have never addressed.
