OK all... this really isn't a specific question to our Ford's but I am jumping into my cleanup of my project truck and don't want to mess things up right out of the gate. The interior is sound but of course faded. No cracks in the dash or elsewhere. I have heard that the last thing I want to put on the vinyl or plastic in Armor All. What I have heard is that will actually promote cracking and make plastic even more brittle. Any thought on this and looking for recommendations. I have heard Maguire's is good?

I use Murphy's old soap to clean then use anything but armor all for a high shine I use Lucas products or meguires but the Murphy's does a good job by itself

 

iv always used armor all.i have cracks in the pads but nothing has showed up since iv owned the trucks.only a crack from before i owned the truck.i try to wash with glass cleaner.windows and plastic.then armor all about every weekend (minus winter.)

 

Hummmm....I need to do the same thing. I'll be watching this thread with great interest.
