Interior cleaning...

I ran a search and didn't seem to find it - but what's everyone using for interior cleaning these days - stuff like the dash, console, other interior plastic trim work? I used to use Armor All a lot, but didn't like the real glassy look I was getting from it. Was just wondering if there's other products out there that I might not be aware of that work well inside.

Watch what you use, some products (ie armorall and sunofagun) have agents that can harm vinyls.

303 is a great product, low gloss and no frilly smells. I use Mother's Protectant, it smells nice and does a good job. It's not a cleaner, but it and a microfiber cloth suck out a lot of dirt. I've also used tooth brushes to get in the cracks in the vinyl and knock loose the fine debris.

I've always used armorall.

Never gotten the greasy feel, just a smooth and slick feel.

For me it wasn't so much a "feel" as it was a look. It just seemed really glossy to me, and on a dashboard I didn't like it for the obvious visibilty reasons.

ReAX - that 303 stuff, where do you get that at? I see it online, but is it something I can get locally or do I have to order it online? For now, I'm going to grab a bottle of Mother's and try that out and see how I like it.

303 is somewhat specialized, if you don't have an enthusiast based automotive store locally, I would try marina's and boat stores.

I always use Meg's QID for cleaning the interior trim. Sometimes i feel like getting a bit of shine on my dash so i'll then use Meg's SS Protectant. But mainly the QID.

I am looking into this myself.
I need to protect my 34 yr old dash. So far it's in pristine shape.

Some one already mentioned 303.
I have also been reading about Lexol's Vinylex.

Has anyone compared these two?

I did try the lexol stuff once and I didn't see what impressed everyone. I can't remember any specific reasons though, so don't take it to heart.

303 impressed me, but I wouldn't use it on the interior regularly, it has an odd chemical smell when it's applied to really hot plastics. I think in a confined space it will linger a while. Mother's protectant always smelled better to me.
