I went to the dealership last week where I bought my truck at and asked them about warranties. I told them I could get the 8 year 48000 mile warranty on my truck for about 1100 from multiple places and the cheapest they offered is like 2800 bucks. I don't know how the hell they sell warranties with prices like that.

It might be that people are paying "$2800" for 8 years and 100,000 miles..... Huge difference from 48,000 miles.
I do 48,000 miles in 3 years.........

Just a thought.........

My dealer wanted over $3,500 when I purchased the truck. At 35,000 miles I priced it again through him (Illinois) and a dealer in Florida where I was having it serviced. Prices of $3,400 - $3,600.

On another forum I found out that Troy Ohio dealer had cheaper ESP warranties. Did the 7 year - $100 ded - rental car included for under $2,000.

Since I had my truck serviced at a authorized Ford dealer the day before, Troy dealership could use the Ford records system to verify my mileage. Everything was completed online quickly and I received my hard copies in the mail a week or so later.

With Troy (person, not city) I took a picture with my iPhone next to the odometer and that sufficed for proof of the mileage.

I agree but that price was for there 48000 mile extended warranty. It would probably be twice that for the 100000 mile one. Got a good deal on the truck, but I won't ever be buying a warranty from them.

At least we can get discounted ESP if we search.

Same thread just about on my bike forum. Only the issue there is harley has locked down dealers from selling ESP less then retail.
