Who's the Warranty "King" these days?

Is Troy up in MA still the "go-to" guy for best warranty pricing? Have one I need to cancel and a new one to get, but haven't followed pricing in a couple of years.

I went to their website and found nothing on esp's. Do you have to call them? I assume they are the dealer located in Rhode Island?

I guess it bears mention, there are different "availabilities" that I found, when shopping for ESP coverage.

Certain sources won't offer a warranty on a "used" vehicle. I think it was Flood that kicked my inquiry back, when I plugged in my info.

Other sources wouldn't offer the no-finance monthly pay option. I'd have had to pay it all up front. This was Troy, iirc, as well as my local dealer.

I finally found and settled on Ziegler Ford, fwiw. I was able to get the PremiumCare ESP coverage for 3yr/36k add'l miles at an easy no-charge 12 month pay plan. My truck had 99,995 mi on it when I had my local dealer do the pre-inspection.

To the best of my knowledge, I have not found anyone offering to extend any warranty once the powertrain 100k has passed.

yes.. the online sites have a base dependency that the vehicle is still in full warranty and powertrain.

so other providers will warranty anything (for a price!)

I just bought the 8 year premium esp at my selling dealer for $2700. No hassle and it was all done at the same time.

So if I am looking at this chart correctly it appears you can buy the most extensive coverage for pretty much everything that could go wrong basically an extension of the factory warranty for 8 years or 125k miles for $2,800 with a $200 deductible.

Am I understanding this correctly?

If so, to me that seems like a pretty good deal especially with how complicated these trucks are.

Now what I did not see and maybe I missed it....... I did not see a breakdown of coverage for the whole emission system..... DPF system, DEF tank, pump, sensor etc.......

Am I wrong or is there extended coverage for these items?

May not cover all of the emissions but it does show to cover the radiator which would cover almost the cost of the extended coverage.

That's a good point........ I am not undecided about buying an extended warranty........ I am definitely going to buy one I just think I will wait a year or 2.

I would rather pay $3k cash in a year or so instead of wrapping it into the payment...... This of course depends on how much it increases the payment.

I am headed to the dealer in about an hour to look at this truck in person and talk real numbers...... Hopefully if things work out I will be driving it hom😀
