I have replaced the fuse that powers the interior lights (and dash clock) on my truck 3 times in the past two years. There is obviously a problem somewhere.

Does anybody have any ideas on where I should start checking?

 

Look at the wiring connector on/near the floor down by the driver's seat belt and the B pillar... there are a few wires in there that power the upper-rear interior cab light (and map lights, if equipped).

That same small harness runs along the floor underneath the rocker cover... remove that cover and check out the condition of those wires; on mine, rust and abrasion caused a short circuit there.

 

I agree. Under the door sill/rocker cover and at the back corner on the driver's side. I have had problems there several times.
