C6 transmission fluid leak at dip stick tube?
I believe I have a transmission fluid leak where the dip stick tube goes into my C6 transmission. I wiped everything down real good, let it set for a couple weeks, and it sure looks like that's where it's leaking.
I'm kind of surprised by that as I didn't think the fluid level would be that high, and yes I'm certain it's not over-filled.
I'm guessing the seal is just an O-ring and disassembly should be a (relatively) simple matter of unbolting the dip stick tube holder at the bell housing, pulling the dip stick tube up and out of the tranny, and replacing the O-ring.
Am I missing anything? Any tips, thoughts or advice (particularly the size of the O-ring) would be greatly appreciated!
