There was a thread over on PSN(But I can't seem to find it again ) where someone blacked out their interior and put in SD Harley Davidson seats, and it looked awesome. I would love to do this to mine one day.
But I think most of it was painted with a rattle can instead of being dyed

I've seen several dyed interiors. I dyed the door panels and dash on my Ford Torino almost 25 years ago and they still look great. I used dye from a spray can. Not sure of the brand, but I think it was SEM. I saw a complete interior from a Camaro dyed from green to black. It was from a quart can and sprayed through a gun. It still looked great when I saw it 1 or 2 years later.
I think the trick is to get everything CLEAN. Good prep is essential for a good job on those types of things.
I dyed the carpet in my RX-7 several years ago. It was a touch-up, not a re-color. It looked good and held up, but it felt a little rough.
