F5

Saw this on ebay thought others might want to see it. A pretty nice F5 for the big truck lovers.

Wrong drivetrain or cab. Looks to have 42-47 running gear inc steering. Might even be an 51/2 cab on a 42-7 frame

What are those front wheels? Really sharp looking, but I'm suspecting still WM's?

Seems like this truck was posted here a couple years ago with a boom?
Edit: Yep, here it is:

Yeah, I remembered it too. I described the wheels in post #36 on page three. Stu

Those look like Spoke Steel wheels. I have 4 of them that I had on my COE. The centers are a lot thicker material than the original Ford wheels at the center were they bolt to the hub and taper down thinner were they are riveted to the rim. Very popular truck accessory in the '40s, like aluminum wheels are now. The truck has a '39-'41 4-speed with the reverse lock out button.

They are not WMs, they have a solid lock ring on the outside like the pre '48 Ford wheels. They are very good wheels.

Don't know too much about the frame and such, but I did notice the spare tire and the loose plug wire.

Nice looking truck. They were asking $18000 the first time and their web site still has it at $18K. Maybe Chris should try again.
