Hi, Not 100% but I think that is a HALF RACK STAKE TRUCK... Known for their HEAVY DUTY CHASSIS and Springs, Popular for hauling HEAVY LOADS. Beautiful Truck !!!! Hope it Helps.

Here's the general idea, I believe. The two tubes laying alongside the bed in your picture swivel up and are joined together, with a sheave between them. The winch cable runs over the sheave. Seems like another piece is needed tho?

Ross is correct, the "gin" poles are in the pockets on the side of the bed. It should have a piece that connects the two and supports the the pulley for the cable from the winch to ride on. It also has what is called a rolling tail board. These style trucks are still used a lot in the oil fields here in Texas.

If you look on the rack / cage you can see the wish bone like pipe that hooks it together and you can see the big big pully / tackle too

I m going through the conversation that I need to have with my wife in my head right now!! It is going really smooth and she is taking to the idea of trading in her 07 mustang in on it very will!!??? In my mind. Now all I need to do is have the conversation !!! I do not think it is going to play out the way I m thinking it will!
