Few questions about '91 F-150's

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-Apr-02 AT 02:43 AM (EST)]Well. I know a fairly decent amount about 70's and 80's Fords but until I just found a '91 F-150 in my pricerange I didn't even consider it. I was just curious as to what type of problems they had and such. Also the 302 they got in em is EFI right? What are some basic bolt ons for an EFI other than headers and exhaust? As well the truck I found is obviously a '91 F-150, it was a state truck. Don't remember the add what they said it did, but they said it was well maintenced and still has a lot of miles left on it. It's got a 4 speed, dual tanks, etc. For $2895. I'm just waiting for the person to call me back and I'll probably go take a look at it tomorrow if they call me. So anyway.

Thanks

Smoof

Edit:
I was just reading. What should I do if i find this truck has a push button 4x4? It's basically the only truck of this year I can find in my price range so I'm stuck. It's this or go with a Chevy (I know you guys hate Chevys, but hey, I love Ford. I love GM. Most of all I love Pontiac )I found

BLASPHEMER !!!!!!!!Uhh..just kidding.
If it's in good shape that is a good price. Don't worry about the push button you can easily swap out to manual hubs if needed. The '91's are EFI. As far as boltons, you should be able to find everything and anything from mild to wild depending on what you want to do. Check out the 302 engine forum https://www.ford-trucks.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=list&forum=DCForumID18&conf=DCConfI D1 to get some ideas.

Few questions about '91 F-150's

Hey cool... err Bronco?
Heh. Well anyway, I also had one more question.
The truck I'm looking at in the ad (Haven't talked to the guy yet. Probably tomorrow). It says it's a 4 speed (Not sure if I mentioned all this before). Just a 4speed. Now did these come with 4 speed manuals or would he be pertaining to an Auto? Curious cause I don't know if I can buy it if it's an Auto. I really hate em. I can deal with em but they're annoying and not good for four wheeling. Please tell me it's most likely a 4 speed manual. Heh

Thanks

Post Few questions about '91 F-150's

I own a 1991 f-150, I run 35in tires with 4:10 gearing from factory, but anyways that 1/2 ton 8.8 rearend should be aced from the scene. I blew that type of rearend twice before I decided to put a 10.25 3/4 ton full floating rearend in the back. I have also blown the t-case once out at pismo. As for the 302, I love it to death. All that I did to it was a mild low-end cam, open air filter, headers, custom y-pipe into 3in hi-flow cat, and flowmaster. I smoke the 350 vortechs and thats the way it should be. Burning out? no problem.
And as for that guy who told you to buy a chevy he should shut his mouth in a site like this. Chevy 1/2 ton trucks around 1988-1992 their 350s were only rated at about 160 horse-power, thats crap. My 302 from the factory put out 185. Stick with the oval
