2000 Limited Excursion

Hi there Everyone,

I have question hard would it take to really beef up the suspension to that of a SD? All I would be using it for is pulling 3 or 4 sleds around and driving to work. What about putting in a beefy air suspension?

take care,

Ben

They want $20,000 for it. It has 40,000 miles on it. It is the 6.8L V10.

Not hard at all either buy all new springs or watch Craigslist for used ones. Some u bolts, shocks and time. If your mechanically inclined it can be done in a week end. I had the entire front axle on the ground in two hours or so and it is a true MN truck aka rust. For that price I bet that sucker is a lot cleaner than mine so it should go good.

Cary is a great guy and has done wonders for helping Excursion owners, But I grimace when someone directs users away from our site.

There is a huge, vast resource here in the Excursion forum that can take care of just about anyones needs, wants, and desires when it comes to the Excursion suspension.

Why direct someone to a single person, when we have a great collective right here at someones fingertips?

This is NOT a knock on Cary. Like I said, I respect the man and what he's done for our hobby, I just find it ironic that the very reason we're here, is to help someone with questions like that, yet we're going to send them elsewhere?

Stewart

$20000.... seems like a huge amount of money for a V10. Sounds like what a diesel might run you. Even with that low of miles.

Was going to say the same thing. Especially for a 2000. I'd keep looking.

Yeah, that is a lot of money. I got my 6.0 PSD 4x4 Limited for $17,995 a while back, and there was a V10 sitting on the same lot for $12,995.
