Ben they are simply called stick on wheel weights. However they have their own draw backs as well. Like if the wheel isn't cleaned and prepped properly or if the installer uses a cheaper grade weight they're more prone to falling off thus causing a balancing issue. They are also known as adhesive backed wheel weights. Plus there is another option as well. And as long as you get a quality set of them they work really well. And that is balancing beads that are in a little pouch and they are installed inside the tire. Semi trucks have used them for years and are recently making their way into the passenger car and light truck market. You can find videos of them on YouTube.

Ha! Thanks for the encouragement Ben. I've actually taken a break from the truck since I had it running in May. Been doing a large amount of landscaping in the back yard and have had to put some of the truck plans on hold temporarily.

I'm hoping to have a really good tuning / thread update session sometime in July here. The back yard is almost done!!!

So what's next on your build man??? I'm curious where this progress will lead you to.

I'm going to have to shift my focus toward house and yard work pretty soon myself.
Right now, I really just want to get my issue with hot starts figured out (so I can drive it) and then I'll probably do the same thing you did. Take a break from working on it for a while so I can work on my house and yard.
I still need to wet sand and buff my paint job, and I have to clean and polish all of my dent and racetrack trim. I also need to get around to doing the raptor-liner in the bed.

Lots of finishing touches that will take some time.

I'm willing to bet its either your ignition module or carburetor. --next time you are about to start it hot, hold the gas pedal floored and turn the key. If it starts, its your carb.

I’m 90% sure it’s not the carburetor, there is no spark so weather the carb is getting fuel or not, it won’t fire.
I ordered a new ignition module, if that doesn’t fix the problem, it’s probably the coil.

Why did you change to the older grill that doesn't match the truck?

I assume you are referring to Kerby76's truck pictured above? My truck still has the original 1979 grille.

Sorry if I hijacked your thread. But to answer his question: my truck is a 77. At some point the previous owner smashed in the driver’s door and repainted the whole truck, switched out the grille for a 79 because he liked the newer look. If he would have put FORD on the hood I may have just keep that 79 grille. My favorite years are 76&77 so it worked out.
