and that is the important part! no gay euro crap! i forget what site it was, but there were a set of Dorman's that were showing as grey in color, which would be cool, but when you looked at the info, it said red/clear. they looked exactly like stock lights, but were just all light grey.

Do yourself a favor and get a relay harness for your headlights too. or make one. Getting the correct voltage make a word of difference. Stock the power has to go from the battery to the headlight switch and then out the the light dripping a load of voltage and making the light SUCK
Just for a visual. This is Stock headlights(and yellowed) with Stock bulbs
Stock

Upgraded harness

^^^^ +1; relay harness is pretty-much required if you're running any headlights drawing more power than stock. Not just to avoid the voltage loss, but because that cr@ptastic switch barely has the capacity for the power draw of the stock headlights. Anything more than that, and you seriously risk burning up the switch. With the relay harness, the switch carries just enough current to trigger the coil circuits of the relays; a fraction of the current required to run the lights themselves.

be Very careful of the Junk LMC one. SMALL wires, china relays and so short you have to pull it tight between the 2 headlights

Good to know about LMC being MIC stuff. Haven't bought much from them and prob won't...

Probably also chinese in origin are the these, but I like the look and the HID lights. http://www.protuninglab.com/hidxe92fobrf2.html

Any thiughts? And what is "warning canceller"?

A warning cancellor is for newer vehicles that tell you when a bulb is out. You shouldn't need it

There's a couple things about the hids and that kit you posted JP. I had hids on my denali (came factory) and I loved the light and brightness. But when you flipped from high beam to low beam and vise versa the lights would be dim till they warmed up. Probably only 4-8 seconds but on the highway that's a long time without reasonable light. I don't know how the newer kits are but unless I knew of a faster brightening time I wouldn't go with them just for that. And as for the kit you posted the warranty is a little concerning. 30 days from shipping date and 50 bucks for 12 months. Doesn't sound like they stand behind there product very well.

Yeah, a few things concerned me about that site as well. Like it sounded like the kit only comes with low beam lights...

And the writing in ththe description was terrible - a telltale sign of an overseas vendor. And thanks for the heads up on was mil time. I def didn't know that!

Maybe I'll just stick with new housings for stock bulbs and do a DIY relay setup. Seems that's a pretty safe route...
