1985 bronco build and swap

Hey guys, finally got all my parts gathered for my next project

First off id prefer to not here crap on the cummins. im doing it for reliability, simplicity, and mpgs. If i was building a 92-96 bronco i would be power stroke swapping for the ease of it.

okay,

Its a 85 bronco, and is getting a 12v cummins out of a 94 dodge, zf5 speed trans with t case out of f350, with 1987 f350 one ton axles, front is king pin.

Don't have list of mods together for motor yet,

trans and t case are already rebuilt,

i parted out a 87 f350 for the axles and trans t case, have a 94 dodge 3500 in my backyard as the motor donor, and just brought the bronco home today

i paid 980 for the bronco, body is in awesome shape. tub has some issues here and there,

it is going to be built for my daily driver. no body work is being done on the outside, i want something that looks nice enough but i don't have to worry about.

the bronco has a blown motor. and im getting rid of the axles.

interior is taken apart of the bronco but everything is there for the most part.

Suspension plan is using a pmf rsk and super duty front leaves with the d60. i have to box frame horns but shouldn't be an issue.

Tub is getting sandblasted inside and underneath. the spots are getting fixed, then por'd and considering going with spray in liner on the inside.

since im gonna have the tub off i think im gonna sandblast the frame and coat that as-well in por.

Plan on getting rid of this dodge crap then starting on the bronco.

Am refreshing the axles too.

here are the pics.

Then the bronco and axles:

awesome swap, looks like you have everything in order. are you planning to move over the F350 booster and MC or are you going to go Hydroboost?

For some reason Matt thinks that D60 and 10.25 are heavy. As long as the frame on the bronco doesn't look like that grey trucks you should be fine.

Why would anybody give you crap about swapping in a Cummins? It's one of the best truck motors available and it's not a Dodge motor.. just like the diesel found in these F series trucks wasn't a Ford motor. Should be a killer Bronco when you're done.

Hey, I'll bust your b*lls on putting a Cummins in there if I want LOL...but since driving big rigs, I've come to like a Cummins a bit more and not associate them w/a Dodge so much. I'll have to see the final product to decide though Good Luck!

just a small update.
the dodge is depleting

and i sold the wheels and tires off the bronco for 400
and guy just picked the front axle out of the bronco for 225

so my original purchase price was 980, and now im only into it $355 and still plan to sell the nine inch rear end and the trans and t case.

here are some pics
