I have a 02 E350 5.4 with 199000 miles it starts fine when its cold after I stop somewhere and go to restart I have to hold the accelerator to the floor for it to start and after it starts it when you put it in gear it dies. It throws no codes. I cleaned the IAC and it still does it. Any thoughts?

Yes I have. Bad part it could be numerous things. Mass air flow sensor, pcv valve dirty, or a vacuum leak. Most people with that year engine have found that a vacuum line has come loose on the back side of the engine.

 

Now I replaced the IAC no change and it also has a miss. I'm about ready to shoot it.

 

I'm having the same problem. i just replaced my engine in my 99sd. the engine came out of a 02. mine shuts down after it warms up. then i need to hold it on the floor and it starts hard.

 

Anyone find resolution with this problem?
