I am in Ontario Canada & have a defective DRL (causing flashing lights) which from the help posted on these forums is easy enough to replace.

My question is 'can I just disconnect the DRL without any issues or running of the vehicle'?

I understand the law, but in small town Ontario where travel less than 4 miles, I don't think its an issue.

this morning I unplugged the fuse for the daylight module & that seemed to do the trick. No DLR lights.

So far no adverse effects, other than no DLR lights.

Can someone comment on this please

I now have to get a new module to replace the dud one in order to get the daylights back on
