What do you think of this intake?
Found an old thread on here where a guy converted a 78 460 to EFI and had this edelbrock performer intake machined for injectors and the stock 460 upper plenum. the thread is old and i dont think the guy is one here anymore and he never mentioned how it performed. seems like since he was able to use the better flowing earlier style heads and performer intake that it would be a better option than using the later style flow restrictive EFI intake and heads. any thoughts??

he used an 89 460 as a donor for the other EFI parts. in fact see for yourself here is the link to the dead

"better flowing earlier heads"
Who are you kidding?
E7 was a huge improvement over D3
F3's an improvement over E7.
FI intakes have much better ports than stock carbureted intakes.
SCJ's could flow okay on top but suffered many eddies due to the valve geometry, and the short side radius of the exhaust port.
If you want to go EFI just pull an engine and everything from a later ('93-on) truck.
If you are going to throw a big cam in it get a last year MAF truck or use a conversion kit.
