When I got out of high school I worked at a couple of different jobs and finally ended up working in a couple of body shops. I started working on my F-2 before I worked in the body shops and I'd spend most of my time working on it. Once I started working in the body shops I stored the F-2 for over six years, never touching because I worked fixing cars and trucks for 10-12 hours a day and the last thing I wanted to do was more of the same on my limited free time. I changed fields, which is something completely different, and pulled the truck out of storage and again worked on it during my free time. I love cutting out rotted metal and making new pieces. I've never bought a patch panel. The windshield patches are the first I've ever cut from one vehicle and put into another. I could do this type of work all day as long as it didn't turn into my job, then it would be work.

Its very heart warming, father and son working together, father passing along knowledge that is extremely hard to come by. Your a very lucky man Bob, and a good father. My hat is off to you, thanks for sharing this snapshot into your life.

I'm a very useful dad when either of my boys need something, other times, not so much. But it's still nice to know at least one of my boys is into old trucks.
