Interior Dye/Paint

Looking to dye my carpet black from red. Anybody have any recent experience with SEM or Duplicolor. I have read that SEM used to be the product of choice, but has recently had some quality issues. Duplicolor the exact opposite. Any other suggestions?

I've used the duplicolor before and it turned out good. Just have to clean the carpet real well and let dry. We used a pressure washer and let sit for a week. The duplicolor sprayed well and we used a old scrub brush to get the paint down into the fibers. We went from light grey to black on a old Nissan we were selling. Turned out real good.

SEM has worked well in the past for panels and such. Never had a issue with that stuff on those type things.

In regards to the carpet, how well does the color stay? Are there any issues with the dye rubbing off onto clothes or other items put on the floor over time?
