[QUOTE=NumberDummy;14686079]The fact that certain vendors are stupid .. ain't my fault. It's theirs since they don't have Ford truck parts catalogs to look up the applications.

Thanks. Which of the "non-stupid" vendors would you recommend? I keep hearing poor reviews regarding certain vendors, mostly the one that starts with the letter "L". Sorry to bother you with this as you've stated you have posted many times. When I type things into the search on this forum it searches the whole site rather than just this thread...

I don't know what repro sellers have it, but I do know that LMC's catalogs have a gazillion errors and omissions.

All the repro sellers have online catalogs and bound paper catalogs.

I just looked in Carpenters 1957/66 truck catalog (2008 bound paper edition). The part number is WRONG, the applications are WRONG.

All it sez is imported - 1961/64 F100/350 - No 4WD / But that's BS, the only core support used 1961/64 F100/350 is C2TZ-16138-G that fits 1961/64 F100/250 2WD/4WD, F350/600.

And...1965 F100/250 4WD, 1965/66 F350/600, 1966 F250 4WD. See the Ford truck parts catalog applications in post 15.

The "Search" at the top of the page searches all the FTE Forums.

But, if you are in this forum and you click on "Search This Forum" all the way to the right and just above the Announcement line by BigF350 and type in there then it just searches this forum.

Also, if you are in a thread the choice on the right changes to "Search This Thread".

However, in each little popup window that comes up there is another link that reads "Advanced Search". If you click on that, especially in the "Forum" instead of the "Thread", it comes up to a screen that lets you choose a Username to search on (you can type in something like NumberDummy here) and you can choose additional forums other than the one it will have selected, which is the current forum you are in. And of course, your keywords you want to use for the search itself, like "fender bolts" or a part number or something like that. The Username is optional.

Scroll that "Search in Forum(s) listbox and you'll see all the forums and the one (or more) that are highlighted are the ones it will search in. Like I say, the current forum when you go into the dialog is the highlighted one. Hold down CTRL and click the other choices you want in the list. If you click without holding down CTRL it will deselect all others except the current one. Typical Windows control actions.

Important that if ND typed in a part number with hyphens that you follow suit in your search or it's not going to find anything. It is a literal search. Sometimes if I do a part number with hyphens and get nothing I'll try it again without hyphens to see if anyone typed it in that way.

Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - Search Forums

Each forum is also numbered for internal referencing. The 1961-1966 forum is number 40. That's the f=40 portion of the link above. (might have to hover over the link to see that nomenclature.

I hope that helps you and others that read this.
