I have an ohio truck, 1988 f250 no rust what so ever, camper in the bed. Never see`s snow and salt, sits inside pole barn . Farm truck, may rarely see road use in winter, sits in pole barn. Without pics no body can assume condition.

I don't know what you consider rust free, but if that truck spent just ONE winter driving in NY it was rusty. Hell, the supports I get from Florida are rusty, juts not rotten

I wouldn't spend any more than 3000 on a truck unless it has been rebuilt engine or tranny or both etc. Just an old truck sitting there will work and money invested. People constantly want a lot and there are people who end up paying 6000 or 8000 for an old truck with minor rust thinking they need a diesel... if you don't need a diesel, don't get one unless its a real bargain.

Well, the farmer just called me. Some guy offered him $6k. I told him to sell it.

The value we place on things like that varies so much. My v10 was only $8k with under 75k miles. My desire for a toy will just have to wait a bit longer.
