LOL, that's crazy....how can anyone look at that truck and think for a even a second that it has rust issues. I guess it goes to show that too many people use flares to cover stuff up.

How many miles and what not are on it and what Motor and tranny does it have? If it's something that, after winter, you could make money on by doin a little body work and a cheap paint job I'd go for it

97 F350 Powerstroke XL, Auto,4wd, A/C, Cloth bench seat(gray interior) 4.10 gears, 33/12.50/16.5 BFG All Terrains on Prime 118 16.6x9.75 wheels.

I owned the truck 8? years ago. Bought it from original owner(one owner company truck) w 239k on it and a Knock. They JUST put a Ford reman trans in and had the whole front end rebuilt(had 6k in receipts). I bough it, put 2 reman injectors in and re O-ringed the other 6, serviced the engine & trans. it had rust in the rear wheel wells starting so I put on the Street Flares. it looks goofy with the stck tires so i found the aluminum wheels and 50% tires. DElettered the truck, buffed it out, pinstriped it sold in in 2 days.

They guy who bough it only used it to go to Home Depot and the dump. 3-4 years ago my friend bought it from that guy. He only lives 2 miles from his job so it got very little miles. He also added the steps and put the 4 new tires on it. He called me about it 2 months ago. I was refinancing my house so i didn't have the extra $$. But that deal fell thru and when He called again, I bought it(need something to drive while I redo my ranger this winter) it currently has 263k on it. I just picked up a Western 9' Uni-mount for it this am(since my ranger will be down).

I would be looking to get 7-8k for it after I am done with it.Maybe more if it is still snow season.
I have to go thru and change all the fluids, fix a glow plug issue and replace the windshield. The rear tank leaks So i am going to put a plastic one on, may do front tank at same time. All NEW copper/nickel alloy brake lines are on the list too. Then I will work on the cosmetics

None of them have any money and I would rather NOT have some kid have anything, no less any of my trucks

Not really. You just have to know how to market a truck.

I sold my brothers 94 F250 last year with 260k on it, and a fisher plow for 6500, It was in WAY worse condition. The guy made the money back in 2 storms

Gray, black are conventional first choices. If you follow the color wheel theory, surprisingly green would be considered the most complimentary of colors for red (ie. occupies the opposite location on the color wheel).

Green might be just a little too, uh... seasonal.

To throw another option into the mix, maybe the Eddie Bauer tan?

If The truck had tan interior there would be no doubt in my mind for the tan lower. But It has gray interior so I am thinking silver bottom And ditch the nerf bars

On another note how much do you like the street flares...? Can you get some closer pics of the rear ones to see if it completely covers the contour?

I would certainly not put bedliner over it. My first thought at looking at it would be that you sprayed over rust, like people do in the rust belt. I think a dark gray on the bottom would look good, but the pinkish red paint is going to make it rough to put good looking paint next to without it looking goofy if you ask me.
