opinion on new truck

Ive been tossing up lately trading in my 06 250 5.4l sc sb for a 14 f150 EB CC. The reason why I'd downgrade is f150 is a lot nicer with more amennities for less . granted smaller engine and payload cap. The opinion i ask for is: Will i be happy down grading from the 250?Right now the 250 just sits and rots due to 10 mpg i get and that its a sc config which is a pain trying to get 2 car seats in and out with the kids.F150 ecoboost claims better mpgs ,not by much ,but hey 3-5 mpgs better is alot at $4.00 gallon, plus we are talking 8yrs newer and id go for 4 doors. The main use i have for the 250 is to plow my shop , my private rd and a drive way. Also i use a 12' tandem wheel dump trailer maybe once a yr and tow a 4000 lb boat a couple times a yr .Im thinking dealers will want to move 2014 models soon but also if im going to spend the money why not go for a 2015. What do you guys think?.. Thanks

Don't do it, a new truck will depreciate 30- 40% in 3-4 years. You don't drive the one you have because you won't spend $4 every 10 miles but you are willing to throw 10k out the window.

Take a look at the pricing on new F250 CCs compared to what you're going to spend for an F150. I considered getting an F150, but there was very little price difference in the end, and I've never, ever said "dang, I've got too much truck for this job."
