2003 f550 steering alignment problem after brakes + tierod

ok I just did a bunch of work on a 2003 f550 4x4 7.3l auto trans dual rear wheel.

I did all new rotors, calipers, pads all around two new abs sensors for fronts and two hub seals for the rear. I gravity bled everything first then had a first pump up and bleed with me with the truck off...

when I a greasing it I noticed driver side tie rod end was not tightened all the way then froze in place so it had play up and down in the cone area. I cut it off and installed a new one . it took me several times to get the alignment pretty good to where it was so I thought each time I was having this weirdness going on.........

what im experiencing is a range of issues it wants to track left and right sometimes on its own not super aggressive but you feel as if something is going on with the powersteering pump or like the 4x4 are engaging or u joints or something.

I did a test drive last night everything was going perfect made a couple right turns then was able to open it up to 70 mph for a stretch as soon as a slowed down and made a left turn it felt as if there is some drag or binding then it didn't go away on the ride home .

I did so many things jacked it up ...the wheels are free spinning the hubs are unlocked and transfer case is in 2wd drive. I got a long pry bar under the u joints and the weird thing is trying to remember now .. at least on one side I got play up and down that looked like it was coming from the bearing hub area but it only did it 180 degress not at 90. which is the passenger that spins the freest. I pulled the hubs off real quick its just a squeeze ring.i see the spline shaft coming through with a snap ring washer and hex washer the right side I can hold the washers . driver side feels like im getting binding with randomly and those washers lock up. it still spins pretty free and rolls

I know I still need to get it aligned but it feels like I did something or something else just happened. I don't drive this truck its my buddies so I don't know how it was before but not as bad as this.

did I damage anything pumping brakes with engine off related to the powersteering pump. I thought on the 7.3l the brakes and powersteering were tied together?????????

I can talk on the phone too if its easier just pm me for cell thanks a lot.

If your 'home brew' alignment is way off (and it can be hard to tell), you can get a lot of bizarre behavior. I would get it aligned and ask the alignment shop (not a chain place - find a real shop) to look at things while they are under there. Stiff or binding ball joints can cause weird road handling issues, too.

can I drive with the locking hubs off or does that center the spline ? or the wheel hub should be the support of the spline?
