61 F250 Unibody
Well, I've just negotiated a deal for a 61 F250 Unibody, I'll be looking for advice, tips etc and when possible I'll contribute what I can. I've got a terrible addiction problem and belong in a 12 step program. I'm addicted to motorized transport. My present fleet:
61 F250 unibody (well, as soon as I go pick it up)
68 mustang (had this one for 37 years)
88 Porsche 944S (european delivery)
89 Chev Silverado stepside-shortbox C1500 (yeah I know it's a chev, my son bought it and didn't want it so traded it with me for one of my explorers)
95 Explorer Limited
06 Mercury Mountaineer Premier
73 Norton 850 commando
88 Suzuki 750 intruder
13 Yamaha wr250
13 Yamaha xt250
20 years ago I had a 68 F250 camper special but sold it when I moved to Europe. My plans for the 61 unibody are to turn it into a touring machine that I can put a camper on, while carrying a motorcyle on the back mounted on a hitch carrier. I'd also like to be able to tow up to a 10,000 lb trailer occasionally.
Any advice as to power, brakes, air conditioning, suspension, wiring, steering, cooling etc will all be appreciated.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you.
Sheldon
