New to Forum - Just bought an 87 F250

Hello everyone! I just bought an F250 single cab 5.8L naturally aspirated. 2wd, auto tran.

I am an experienced weekend mechanic but its been years since I worked on an engine like this. I am in the process of sourcing a Helms if I can find one if not then a haynes. I have some questions about the current engine set up. I will start a different thread for each so as not to confuse the issue.

I am trying to sort out the vacuum lines (or lack thereof) I have the vacuum diagram on the fan cowling. and there are a lot more lines then i see in the engine. Under the carb, which I believe to be a Holley 4160 there is nothing connecting to a vacuum line marked in the holley 4160 diagram as "Full manifold vacuum source connects to air cleaner and/or air pump diverter valve".
is this an issue? where (if anywhere) should this be connected and is it relevant on this engine set up?

That is not a factory holley on that engine, you will never get the vacuum lines right unless you go back to stock.

David,

Why wouldnt one be able to get the vacuum lines right with an aftermarket?

Appreciate your input,
