I need a lil help
I've got a 1997 f150 XLT that my grandpa gave me and said if I fix it I can have it. It has a 4.6 v8 in and it's a 5 speed. I was wondering if anybody knew how difficult it would be to get a motor out of a crown Vic that is the same year and same engine and put it in my truck?

You can use the truck ECM and harness. You need to pull the driver's valve cover off both engines and make sure the cam sensor trigger on the cam sprocket is the same. Also make sure they are both Romeo engines or the truck flywheel won't bolt to the CV engine. If they have the same number of valve cover bolts then they are Romeos. If the truck engine is a Windsor then you will need a different flywheel. The Windsor uses 8 flywheel bolts and Romeo has 6. Make sure you install a pilot bearing in the end of the crankshaft.
