Pinion seal
Just replaced my pinion seal on my f350 dually because it was leaking and about a quart low on gear oil and the new seal is still leaking anybody have any ideas why the new pinion seal is still leaking

Was there a ring worn where the seal rides? Did you use any type of sealer around the outside of the seal?

I was not paying attention to a ring on the inside honestly i did not use any sealer inside or out

Don't forget to check for plugged breather,hose,fitting going into diff.

What do i need to check on the breather hose

Just make sure it's clear. No mud or wasp nests. If the diff can't breath it will build pressure as temp rises and force oil out the seals
