fuel filter light and power loss

Howdy Y'all I am new here and new to diesel but freshly in love.. i need HELP!!! my 96 f350 cc 7.3l turbo diesel has an issue i cannot solve on my own... 4 months ago i had the fuel filter light periodically coming on and a drastic power loss. i changed the filter, no difference.. after testing i was able to diagnose it as a bad Injector Driver Module.. truck was basically running off 4 cylinders and throwing the code for the fuel filter... ( it was full of water condensation and replaced it with upgraded new part) truck ran great for 4 months... same thing happened the other day.. same symptoms and the same light came on.. seemed like i could give the truck a break and id get a little further down the road but eventually i had to tow it. I returned the IDM under warranty and replaced it with another... truck ran great for about 20 miles... now i am getting the light on again and its a matter of time before it begins to lose power again... new filter(i always keep spares), new fuel pump, all new fuel lines and good gas far as i know... ANY THOUGHTS GUYS??? any help appreciated... RESPECTS...

Inside the fuel filter canister there is a small hole towards the top on drivers side. Inside that hole is a small screen and its purpose is to vent trapped air in the canister. If that screen clogs up with debris air in the fuel can't vent properly and can cause this issue. Take a q-tip type stick, without the cotton and gently scrap that screen clean. A bright flashlight and small mirror will help.

Welcome to FTE ...

Thank you Jim.. I will check that out right away.. suddenly now though i cannot seem to keep the batteries charged... batteries are a month old and the alternator tested low so i replaced it a day ago, charged everything up, drove it about 30 miles and parked it... fuel filter light came on periodically but i never lost engine power.. Came out this morning and it was dead.. wouldnt crank and the batteries tested 8volts on my multimeter... i am stumped.. something seems to be drawing juice.. i havent left anything on as i have checked over and over.. so now im charging both batteries again individually . i will check that screen vent in the fuel bowl when i get back.. I appreciate the feedback.. respects.
