97 5.8 f250 transmission swap

Ok. I really like my truck besides the auto part. And i dont want to go through the hassle of selling it and trying to find something in as good as shape as mine. So I'm going to swap to a manual zf. I know I need a transmission from a 351w around the same year. But what about drive shafts? Do I need both front and rear or just one? I work at the local junkyard. So I can get parts easy. But could someone provide me with a complete parts list for the swap? I've found a few pics and other swap posts but mostly for the diesels. Thanks for the help.

Don't take my word of this 100% sure - but you should have a "direct" swap.
Yes you need everything like the clutch pedal and all that assembly plus of course the flywheel but it should all be the same?

You may have to take the "hump" out of the manual transmission in the cab i did a cab swap and the Automatic DID NOT have a cut out on the middle so i had to take the manual center piece from the cab and cut a whole and put my sheet metal.

You may need the computer also only as it MAY be programed different due to it thinking you have shift points.
Also you may need the wiring harness from the manual. I have tore mine all apart and i have NO plugs anywhere just hanging for a automatic transmission - i assume that its on the main harness but not on the "pig tail"

Im not the best at explaining if have questions on my post please ask i can elaborate.

Your already in there it is more money.....but a lot of saves timed to just change it unless of course it already is new but if there like me the truck could have sat for four years so better to change it IMO
