Guess what COOL new item Alliant Power has for us

Cool find Sean! You may want to consider something like this for the splices.
HEAT-SHRINK BUTT SPLICES from Aircraft Spruce
Or solder and this.
THIN WALL HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBING BLACK from Aircraft Spruce

The reason for the ultrasonic cleaner is you could also
drop all of the top section in and then it would be very
clean and take longer to build up. That is the thought anyway.

wire terminal
Never mind must have been a glitch, but that glitch seems to happen often.
One thing in the instructions that bothers me is first it says not to splice, ok no problem.
Now most of the terminal ends have a barb that locks them in place if you break that barb the terminal is useless and has to be replaced as it will no longer lock in and will back out.
Step 2 in the instructions say to bend or break the locking tab. Does this mean the lock tab is part of the connector now and no longer on the wire terminal?
Seems to me like alliant needs to add a replacement pig tail as well.

The tab it's talking about breaking is on the inside of the connector. You can break the tab on the original connector (broke one) if you don't have an extractor tool. It won't matter if you break the tab on the connector as you won't be reusing it anyways (since your replacing it with the new one.

Actually Performance has a good idea.
